Over the past year, we have witnessed unprecedented challenges in the cocoa industry, particularly concerning the pricing of cocoa beans. As a result of supply chain disruptions and increased global demand, the cost of cocoa beans has risen dramatically. In fact, cocoa bean pricing has surged from $2.6 to well above $11 per unit within the last year alone. Below is an article from CNBC from March 2024.

In light of these significant market changes, we find it necessary to adjust our prices. This decision was not made lightly, and we have explored all possible avenues to mitigate the impact on our customers. However, despite our efforts, we can no longer absorb the rising costs without making adjustments to our pricing structure.

Effective May 15th, 2024, there will be an increase in the prices of our chocolate products. This adjustment is essential to ensure that we can continue to sustainably source the finest cocoa beans and maintain the quality that you have come to expect from Afrikoa. We understand that any change in pricing may cause concern, and we want to assure you that we remain committed to providing you with the best value for your money.

Additionally, we want to inform you that certain stock may be limited due to these challenges in the cocoa market. While we strive to maintain adequate inventory levels, we encourage you to place your orders early.
